Your chance to find out more about the UK Parliament and how to get involved











Next Tuesday, the 18th of October, the UK Parliament Outreach and Engagement Service will be hosting a free session at the Spectrum Centre, Inverness from 15:30 – 17:00, for anyone who wants to find out more about how the UK Parliament works, and how to get involved.

The UK Parliament makes law, debates the issues of the day, and checks and challenges the work of Government. The UK Parliament affects everyone you know and everything you care about.

The session is open to anyone who wants to learn more about the House of Commons and the House of Lords.

The session will cover things such as:
• what the UK Parliament is and does
• the role of an MP
• the difference between the UK Parliament and Government
• how a law is made
• how you can get involved with the work of the UK Parliament,
• any questions you may have about the UK Parliament.
